A small cargo plane crashes heading to Somali

A cargo plane headed for Mogadishu, Somalia crashed on a commercial building in Utawala, Embakasi area of Nairo after take off from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport on Wednesday morning, killing all the four occupants on board. The Fokker 50 cargo plane ferrying miraa crashed at about 4 am.
According to Joseph Ngisa, the JKIA head of investigations, preliminary findings had shown that the plane was flying low after take off and it is thought to have hit an electric pole before crashing

According to witnesses, the said plane came down crashing while on fire.
 Emergency services were scrambled to the area immediately after the incident which was near the Administration Police Training College.
The police later announced the closure of a section of the Northern Bypass to enable emergency service providers to access the area. Traffic commandant Charlton Muriithi said the closure would be temporary to enhance operations at the scene.
