support for President is a Plus for him
Ok, Kenya general election is around the corner
and we expect to hear all sorts of promises and propagandas from politicians.
In Kiambu we have two very respectable politicians vying for the lucrative
Kiambu governorship. The current Governor, William Kabogo Gitau and Hon
Ferdinard Waititu (Baba Yao), currently MP for Kabete, these two giants will be
calling shots, but there shall be one winner.

And that winner, am so sure will be Hon.
William Kabogo Gitau.
Both leaders have whole pages of books to sell
their progress records and promises. Hon Waititu, commonly known as Baba Yao
has built a base of followers, but not in Kiambu, but in Nairobi area commonly
called East land. Here Hon Waititu was a hero due to his endless fights with
land grabbers and city inspectorate who were harassing hawkers.
His fearless ways of dealing with rich land
grabbers, demolishing building or elected fences on lands that he believed
belonged to community and institutions, made him a force to reckon within
Nairobi politics. The nick name, ‘Baba Yao’ came from the so called slum
dwellers whom saw him like their father (Baba). This made him to be in good
books with poor Nairobians, but he also became a thorn and an enemy to the rich
class.
His persistent to Nairobi council that hawkers
should not be harassed within CDB, made him un-wanted man by business
community.
Actually, the rich class worked against his
election to be Nairobi governor in last general election by supporting one of
them, Jimnah Mbaru a founding member of Nairobi Stoke exchange. Eventually, the
governor seat was won by current Governor, Evans Kidero of ODM party.
On the other hand, we have Hon William Kabogo
Gitau, the current Governor of Kiambu County, and a man who has built his
political carrier from nowhere.

Hon Kabogo has full goodies that he has done for
Kiambu County; from the time he was Member of Parliament for Juja constituency and
now, Kiambu Governor. There are many goodies that Hon Kabogo has done which
makes it right to re-elect him back as Kiambu Governor, once again.
We cannot forget what Hon Kabogo did during the
crisis of our hard working ladies who were in Saudi Arabia working as house
helps.
These women were treated like slaves, working
almost 24/7 without rest days and no communications back home. This situation
was brought to national attention by Hon. Kabogo who fought tooth and nail for
their repatriation back home.
Our memories are still very fresh with the
Maputo children. These children were left orphans in a foreign country after
their mothers who had also gone there to work died in un-clears circumstances.
Hon Kabogo, took upon himself to fly the children back home, at the moment, he
is educating more than 100 children in different levels of education, nursery,
primary and universities.

Juja Constituency Development Fund was recently
ranked 5th best in the country. This was due to achievements done
using the funds, with well- planned projects that have been completed and
minimal mismanagement of funds. This has been possible due to one fact, Hon
Kabogo is a qualified finance administrator who worked as an auditor with an
NGO before shifting to Mombasa as a business man and later in politics.
Among the achievements by Juja CDF are:-
Ø New health centers.
Ø Construction of new classrooms in different schools.
Ø Drilling of multiple boreholes within the county that serve the locals.
Ø Supply of electricity through the 'Umeme Pamoja Schemes', which is Kabogo
brain child.
Ø Construction of modern Police houses for administration police.
Ø Construction of bodaboda shades.
Ø Improvement of county drainage systems which for so many years have been an
eye sore.
Ø Improvement of wellbeing of farmers by introduction of fish ponds which has
actually turned the power of purchase for local farmers and especially women
who sell the fish and have their own income.
Ø Ensuring every civic ward has a new primary and secondary school fitted with
modern sanitation facilities.
Ø At the moment the Governor is in process of working out how youths in Kiambu
can be of more use and stop alcohol abuse which is a menses within the county.
Ø Insecurity is another area the Governor has improved and at the moment
people can build their houses and live peacefully.
Kiambu is a
rich county that has produced two President, the founding father, Mzee Jomo Kenyatta and the current President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Thus, being a
governor of this county is paramount; as it is the home of power and you must
also be ready to defend the Chief Excutive officer of the Land, President
Uhuru. Hon Kabogo has mastered when to voice his voice for both President
Kenyatta and his Deputy President William Ruto.
Hon Kabogo
has more than once stood up against the opposition politicians who have being
insulting the President and his Deputy. He has also proofed his support and for
Deputy President Election in 2022.

Central
province and the entire community has vowed to support Deputy President during
2022 election as a way of saying thank you for supporting Uhuru Kenyatta , both
politically and during the ICC era.
This has being a plus for him as Hon Waititu
developed cold feet after he was arrested due to hate speech during the famous
Parkland six.
It is my wish that Kiambu people elect wisely
and vote Hon William Kabogo Gitau back as Kiambu Governor so that he can finish
his projects.
