Kenya Marathon team to world championship-beijing 2015

According to IAAAF list of 10 great marathoners both men and women, Kenyan names features many times more than any other nations. In men list we have eight names of
Dennis Kimetto who leads in time of 2:02:57 when he run in Berlin, followed by Emmanuel Mutai 2:03:13,Wilson Kipsang 2:03:23, Parick Makau 2:03:38 all of the in Berlin, at number five we have Haile Gebrselassie of Ethiopia but again from number six again Kenyans takes over.

In women category. top nine women list, Kenya has three names to her credit starting at number 2 position where Mary Keitany run 2:18:37 which is second best to the one run by Paula Radcliffe of UK 2:15:25, both events held in London. The great Catherine Ndereba is at position three where she run 2;18:47 in Chicago marathon. Lucy Kabuu is at position eight, 2:19:34 which she did in Dubia marathon.With such names and position, Kenya will diffenetly be going for nothing short of winning a gold in the championship.
Mary Keitany and Edna Kiplagat
On 22/08/ 2015,at 07:35(Beijing time), Dennis Kimetto,Wilson Kipsang and Mark Korir will be carrying hopes of over 40 millions Kenyans on their shoulders as the tackle the grilling 42.195km distance.
Dennis Kimetto has to his credit PB of 2:02:57 and the current world record holder will definetly be   the man to watch, Wilson Kipsang who was world record holder with 2:03:23 which he did in Berlin will also be looking to recapture the title and not forgeting Mark Korir
Visilline Jepkesho
who cause a surprise during 39th edition of Schneider Electric paris Marathon when he crossed the finishing line at 2:07:08. If this three Kenyans plan well how to handle other runners from mostly Ethiopia and one lone ranger from Uganda, there is nothing stoping one of them to bring the gold medla back home.
Winning this title will be a great honour to the fallen Samuel Wanjiru who was a wonderful and a great atheletee before his death at his home in Nyahururu. In women category, Kenya will depend on the experince of Edna Kiplagat.

Jemimah jelagat
she clocked 2:27:16 on 26th April,2015 at London marathon and she carries the title of the only woman to have defended her title when she won in 2011 and 2012 when she joined the club of wome who have done under 2:20. She will be backed by Jemimah Jelagat who has PB of 2:20:41which she did at Chicago Marathon, third member of Kenya marathon team will be Vislline Jepkesho who did 2:24:44 at Paris on 12/04/2015.

So on 22/08/2015, millions of Kenyans will be grilled to their sets of TV sets to see how their country men and women will be doing. Kenya is a power house when it comes to long and middle distance running, so this marathon team has a huge burden on they shoulders.
