Will King David Rudisha defend his 800m title in Beijing

David Rudisha

Ferguson Rotich winning in Nairobi
David Rudisha is a man i believe under too much pressure, and not from his fellow country men, but from his inner person. Rudisha is a man who belives he still is the best in this distance but there is a problem while it comes to the last kicks to finish the race.
Nijel Amos from Botswana has being tormenting king Rudisha for some time, outracing him with only few meters remaining to the finish line.
In 2015, the best time Rudisha has done is 1:43.58 while Amos has done 1;42.66 which makes favours him to claim the gold at world championship unless other wise, Amel Tuku from Bosnia is breathing fire and wants to once bring to an end Africa dominance in this disatnce.
Being the world record holder and Olympic champion, Rudisha has power to re-claim his rightful place, the knee problem that has being causing him that kick needed to the finish line might be healed before the heats starts on 22/08/2015. I did watch Rudisha at Kenya selection and as usual he was leading the pack untill the same fate happen with only 20m to the finish line where Ferguson Rotich spoiled the race forRudisha.
Kenya has sent three atheltees who will compete in 800m, Ferguson Rotich, David Rudisha and Alfred Kipketer. Even though Ferguson Rotich won the Kenya selection , am placing my cards on Rudisha to do better in Beijing, even though am not seeing the gold coming back to Kenya. Alfred Kipketer the other Kenyan in the race might be the surprise needed to change the cause, so lets wait and see.
In the women category,
Eunice Sum

Jenneth Jepkosgei
Eunice Sum is in a class of own, and for sure she did not disappoint during the selection at Kasarani stadium Nairobi storming home in a well deserved win of 1:59.46 (but she has done 1:56.99 at Diamond league in Paris) ahead of the well re-knowned Janeth Jepkosegei "Eldoret Express who returned at 2;00.42. If there is any gold medal Kenya is sure of in 800m, its women category as Sum is controlling this race the was she wants and i believe together with Janeth , its her race and a Gold for Kenya
